This is just what I was looking for. I will be emceeing an event at high school in the Nashville area, and this is ideal for keeping the essentials in one handy place. It also has links to buy useful items, such as protective glasses or the protective film to make your own filter for equipment. One highlight: You may be wondering about how too make the most of a cell-phone image. The book has an excellent discussion of that.

How to See the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse A Practical Guide for the FirstTime Eclipse Watcher 1 Brian Ventrudo Manish Panjwani Reviews
This was a very useful, thorough, well-written resource for preparing for and watching the 2107 total eclipse. I admire Brian Ventrudo's expertise and knowledge. They are astronomical (!)
This was a good basic primer on the eclipse. It did motivate me to travel 2000 miles to see Eclipse 2017 which was great. So on balance I'm glad I read this book
Answers all the basic questions what, when where, how, etc. I now plan to do more than just look up with appropriate sofar glasses. Lots of useful links. Good recommendations and references
Simple quick read to get you started planning your trip to see the eclipse this summer. Good info and easy to understand.
A brief but encompassing overview for the 2017 eclipse. This guide will give you a reasonably detailed process for viewing or photographing the eclipse. It includes some basic technical explainations of the eclipse mechanics and orbital considerations. Detailed safety procedures are well documented. The book is relatively short, but gives the reader a great basic understanding.
You will not need another book on solar eclipses. This is one of most comprehensive guides I have seen. The book even has weather predictions for where to look. "Don't go near the water." It will not become obsolete after the eclipse, because of the text explanations of solar eclipses and how predictions are made, also practical solar observing and photography. I just skim read online a few minutes ago.
Excellent guide packed with a lot of information. Even though some of the information is technical, it is very easy to understand. I really appreciate the safety aspects and the tips for photography. The links provided will give you all the information you could possible want and then some.
